MAUI, Hawaii (KHON2) — On April 10, at about 9:42 p.m., a 1-year-old boy was struck by a 2016 Nissan Altima, resulting in the boy’s death.
According to the Maui Police Department, the sedan was pulling into a driveway when it struck the boy, who was on the sidewalk in front of the residence.
The toddler was transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room, where he later died from his injuries.
A 17-year-old girl was driving the car and was uninjured. The incident is under investigation and speed was not a factor in this incident.
