HONOLULU (KHON2) — The hit Broadway musical “SIX,” is coming to the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall next month.
The Tony Award-winning show by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss will run from June 17 to June 29, with tickets now on sale.
The musical tells the story of the six wives of King Henry VIII as pop stars, with the Tudor queens trading their crowns for microphones to tell their stories through music and attitude.
“SIX” was a breakout success on Broadway, earning 23 awards in the 2021-2022 season, including the Tony for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
The show is also a streaming hit. Its cast recording debuted at number one on the Billboard cast album charts and has since surpassed 100 million streams.
The cast features Chani Maisonet as Catherine of Aragon, Gaby Albo as Anne Boleyn, Kelly Denice Taylor as Jane Seymour, Danielle Mendoza as Anna of Cleves, Alizé Cruz as Katherine Howard and Tasia Jungbauer as Catherine Parr. The cast is subject to change.
