Weigh-in on FCC’s ‘Delete, Delete, Delete’ initiative

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Federal Communications Commission is asking the public for their help in deciding on possible changes to some of its regulations.

FCC launched its “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative, which considers regulations that should be revised or eliminated.

Chairman Brendan Carr announced the initiative on social media in March.

For too long, administrative agencies have added new regulatory requirements in excess of their authority or kept lawful regulations in place long after their shelf life had expired. The FCC is committed to ending all of the rules and regulations that are no longer necessary. And we welcome the public’s participation and feedback throughout this process.

The regulations impact media, telecommunications companies and local television stations such as KHON2.
