ALA MOANA, Hawaii (KHON2) — Ala Moana Mall is hosting an all-day 4th of July celebration with live entertainment, family-friendly activities and exclusive deals.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4, shoppers can enjoy performances from some of Hawaiʻi’s most well-known musicians including Kapena, Henry Kapono, Big Every Time and Seven Suns. The free concerts will take place at the Centerstage and ʻEwa Wing Stage.
Emerging artists from the Henry Kapono Foundation’s On the Rise program will also perform at the ʻEwa Wing with sets by J.Lyn, Lovejack, Duva and Rickey Kamai.
For those in the Mauka Wing, there will be DJ sets and complimentary cornhole games throughout the afternoon. DJs Jami and Compose will spin from noon to 5 p.m.
In addition to entertainment, the Center is partnering with Blood Bank of Hawai‘i to host a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bloodmobile will be stationed at the Atkinson Trolley Depot on the Street Level.
Shoppers can also take advantage of special holiday offers from participating stores and restaurants between July 1 and July 6.
Deals include discounts on clothing, accessories, food and gifts — including 40% off dry cleaning at Al Phillips, 25% off items at The North Face and T&C Surf Designs and a “Firework Flash Sale” at Kailua Crystals.
Ala Moana Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4.
