HONOLULU (KHON2) — If you have an upcoming trip planned at the Honolulu Zoo, a new mobile app is available for download to provide an interactive and seamless experience.
WakeUp2Day’s Chris Latronic went live from the Honolulu Zoo to learn more about the new features.
Officials said the newest app brings an array of innovative features, helping zoogoers maximize their visit.
The app includes an interactive map, countless animal fun facts and a new series of “Keeper Chats” scheduled at the Honolulu Zoo that will be available for app users.
According to zoo officials, the chats are designed by the zoo’s animal keepers, which provide “educational and captivating stories on their training, feeding and enrichment.
Having a new mobile app for the Honolulu Zoo is a significant step forward in our modernization efforts. We extend a huge mahalo to both the SSA Group and Honolulu Zoo Society for the sponsoring and licensing of the app to help elevate zoo safety and guest experience, allowing visitors to easily navigate and locate their favorite animal, plan their route, find refreshments, gift shop, restrooms, exits, and emergency contact information — all from the palm of their hand.
