HONOLULU (KHON2) — Former University of Hawaii athletics director Craig Angelos has reapplied for the position, less than a year after he was dismissed from the role.
Angelos was fired in December 2024 after serving just 18 months.
Then-UH President David Lassner cited ‘performance’ as the reason for his termination — a decision that drew backlash from some student-athletes and members of the university community.
New UH President Wendy Hensel has said she hopes to name a new athletics director by the end of the summer.
