HONOLULU (KHON2) – Get ready to taste your way through Wahiawā this weekend — with local food, fun, and community all on the menu. Taste the Town Wahiawā is coming up Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 from 1-6 p.m. at the Wahiawa Value-Added Product Development Center.
The Office of Economic Revitalization and Wahiawā Fresh are presenting Taste the Town Wahiawā. It builds on the Center’s monthly Market Day, featuring twice as many local food vendors — including Bitter Root Brewery.
At Bitter Root Brewery Hawaiʻi, they craft non-alcoholic ginger beers made with locally grown ingredients. The idea started from a graduate project at UH focused on creating something that celebrates Hawaiʻi’s flavors while supporting local farmers. They grow ginger and galangal at The Farm of the Fearless Monkey and turmeric at Aloha Turmeric – even using B-grade produce to reduce waste.

People can also enjoy cooking demos by Chef Alan Wong, entertainment from the Royal Hawaiian Band, free trolley rides through town, and more. They also hope to uplift the local shops and restaurants in Wahiawā by welcoming them to join the extended Market Day and encouraging locals and visitors to visit their storefronts or learn more about their products.
Organizers encourage people to visit them on Instagram @wahiawafoodinnovation or www.revitalizeoahu.org/tastethetownwahiawa for information on vendors and parking.
